Gezuar Pashken.
Happy Easter from Albania, where it is finally beginning to warm up inside our apartment, in fact we no longer keep our coats on after we have come home in order to stay warm. It has actually been quite nice here, in the upper 60’s, mid 70’s everyday. The cruise ships have started to come back and more and more tourists can be seen walking around town. The flowers are blooming and the organ trees are starting to blossom which gives off an incredible smell. It is hard to imagine that it has been over a year since we got here. March 18, 2009 was our first day in Albania. This year’s group of 50 new volunteers arrived on the 17th and the group that got here before us are getting ready to start leaving next month. Time has gone by really fast and yet really, really slowly.
I have been able to go out to some of the villages to do presentation in schools, on personal hygiene, hand washing and flu prevention.
Give us ideas, what can we tell you about our lives here, send us question, gives us ideas for posts or maybe a challenge. We’ll do our best to answer them, we are so used to all the strange stuff now that we forget you might be interested. So... food, shopping, stray cats, school...let us know what you want to know more about.
